There was an exciting surprise when the Bucs took to practice on Saturday with rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka actually participating. Egbuka had a helmet on and was participating in warmups with his team, which is a vast improvement from how his game status began during the week.

We saw Egbuka working out with a trainer the day before, but that didn’t guarantee that he’d be in play for Monday night’s game. He has a much better shot after Saturday, as head coach Todd Bowles said that Egbuka will be a game-time decision.

“It is possible,” Bowles said. “I mean, it is not definite. Again, this will go all the way up until game time. He wants to play, but that depends on how he feels and how he looks.”

BIG news on this Saturday #Bucs practice as Emeka Egbuka was participating today. Mike Evans returned as well and Lavonte David practiced for the 1st time this week.

Zyon and B-Mo practiced again. So did Michael Jordan.

More good news came as well as legendary inside linebacker Lavonte David practiced for the first time this week. The 35-year old ageless wonder is at the point of his career where he doesn’t need much practice to go and play. Some fans were concerned that he hadn’t participated previously, but this is how it’ll go for him during the rest of the season – having at least one rest day a week.

Speaking of legendary players, wide receiver Mike Evans practiced after being out on Friday. He participated on Thursday for the first time since Week 3, so Friday was maintenance day ahead of him practicing on Saturday. If the Bucs are able to have Evans and Egbuka for Monday, that’s a gigantic component for the offense and for quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Not practicing was Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin Jr., Luke Haggard. Josh Williams wore a non-contact jersey. It doesn’t come as a surprise that they have all been ruled out for the game.

Bowles said that practice squad guard Mike Jordan could possibly play on Monday night, but he’ll be a game-time decision.

“He is making some progress, so he will be in play for Monday, as well,” Bowles said.
