ESPN’s Louis Riddick has cleared up the misunderstanding about the deleted video of Brian Branch by NFL Films. On Thursday, they released an NFL “Turning Point” video highlighting the week 7 clash between the Chiefs and the Lions.
The NFL Narrator said:
“I can see how the short clip that was posted could be taken as an attempt to cast the #Lions or Brian Branch in a calculated, unfavorable manner. I don’t want to be a part of that. I will be sure to make certain that anything that has my name attached to it will never again leave room for it to be interpreted that way in the future.”
The Detroit Lions organization is one that I have nothing but respect for. Ownership, Head Coach, General Manager, and players.
Fast forward to this week, the “Turning Point” episode that was voiced by me recently that covered the Chiefs/Lions game didn’t come across the way it…

It happened on Thursday when NFL Films shared a video of Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch detailing his occasionally rough day at the office against the Chiefs in Kansas City, which resulted in a brawl and an after-game suspension.
The video highlights Juju and Brian Branch clashing during the game and Branch getting beaten and blocked in the back by Juju.
It upsets Lions players like Dan Skipper and Ali McNeil. Even WR Amon-Ra. St. Brown backed his teammate:
“I don’t know why it was released, the reasoning behind it. I don’t know if it was a trick or a mockery. I clicked the NFL page, and I didn’t know it was actually them, and it was. Like I said, I don’t know the reason why they posted it or what they got out of that.”
The Juju-Branch tussle became viral after the Chiefs’ 30-17 victory in a head-to-head duel with the Lions at Arrowhead Stadium. During the post-game handshake ritual, Brian Branch smacked Juju Smith on his facemask after ignoring Mahomes’s high five.
Later, Branchapologized for his violent act, saying it was a childish move caused by the Chiefs’ mid-game act. They blocked Brian on the back, causing an emotional reaction from Brian. The NFL later suspended him without pay for his unsportsmanlike act.
The video even gained fans’ reactions.
A fanstated, “I can see how it was taken.” Bro, you were shitting on BB. Just own it.”
Other fans chimed in: “You basically called Branch a little bitch the way that hit piece started with him saying he got bullied and was immediately followed by clips of how he got cooked by Worthy, Mahomes, and old man Kelce with his basketball move. 😭”
While otherssaid, “I don’t see ‘I’m sorry’ in this post anywhere.”
Otherscriticized, “Youknew exactly what you were doing. Save the fake apology you’re being forced to give.”
Afan. That’s a lot of words to not say, “I’m sorry.”
With these positive reactions, one can say that despite the looming situation, Brian Branch really stole the hearts of his fans with his electrifying performances.
