In what many Burnley fans saw as a must win game against fellow Premier League newcomers, Leeds United. That is exactly what the Burnley side did. Win!
After a run of poor results Burnley were left in the relegation zone as the International break came around but the two nil victory against Leeds has helped propel Burnley into 17th position and have a 2 point gap to Nottingham Forest in 18th position.
The game showed many sides to Burnley with a lot of positives from each individual player but also left some players with a lacklustre performance, which they will be aiming to improve on next time out against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Martin Dubravka - 8
Week after week the Slovakian keeps proving to be the biggest coup of the transfer window as he produces massive saves each game to help his side out or keep them in games. In this instance making a huge save against Brenden Aaronson as he pushed his effort onto the post to keep the game at one nil in Burnley's favour.
Kyle Walker - 9 (player of the match)
The veteran right back proved any doubters wrong that said he wasn't good enough for the Premier League anymore. As he was excellent defensively but he was also a great attacking threat. Picking up an assist through a beautiful cross from a short corner that Lesley Ugochukwu headed into the back of the net.
Axel Tuanzebe - 7
The Manchester United academy graduate had a massively improved performances against Leeds compared to his performance against Aston Villa. Showing composure on the ball as well as the ability to pick out a long pass forward to spring Burnley attacks. He was also good defensively as he helped his side keep their second clean sheet of the campaign.
Maxime Esteve - 7
After a couple poor performance the Frenchman bounced back to his usual self showing how good of a defender he is and that he isn't deterred by a couple of poor individual games. Showing real character and leadership in the heart of the Burnley defence.
Quilindschy Hartman - 7
The Dutch full back went about his performance quietly but effectively as he improves week in week out on his defensive outputs despite the blunder against Aston Villa. And he maintains his impact high up the pitch as he supported the attacks nicely.
Josh Cullen - 7
Again the Burnley captain put in another solid performance, cementing himself as one of the most underrated players in the Premier League as he helped Burnley have midfield stability against a good Leeds United midfield.
Florentino Luis - 8
Ever since his arrival at Burnley he has shown that he is a level above with how he breaks up the oppositions attacks but also his composure and neat passes make him a constant threat. Also picking up an assist for Loum Tchaouna's wonder goal.
Lesley Ugochukwu - 8
The youngster was the best player in the first half as his header gave his side the lead but his driving runs forward and ability to win fouls high up the pitch helped his side be a threat. But he slowed down in the second half as he began to fatigue.
Jacob Bruun Larsen - 6
The Danish forward has found life difficult in his second spell at the club as he has failed to standout in any game so far. With the Leeds game being another game in which he made no real impact. His only effort being a tame long range free kick.
Jaidon Anthony - 6
A poor outing for Anthony after enjoying a bright start to life in the Premier League as he failed to find any rhythm in the game and failed to be effective with his driving runs forward.
Zian Flemming - 6
Despite being a good hold up striker and linking the play nicely, the Dutch man failed to make his mark as a striker as he had zero chances on goal highlighting the lack of threat Burnley have at the striker position.
Loum Tchaouna - 8
Coming on for the injured Bruun Larsen around the hour mark. Tchaouna made his impact on the game through a spectacular long rang effort that doubled Burnley's advantage. Outside of his goal he showed great energy as well as good defensive work on the right flank.
Josh Laurent - 6
Coming on in the 77th minute for Flemming it was a move of defensive stability from Scott Parker. And a moved that worked as Laurent did what was needed of him and helped keep a clean sheet for his side.
Hannibal Mejbri - 7
Part of an inspired double substitution late on from Parker. Hannibal played his role to perfection as he broke up play with fouls and got irritated the Leeds players as they lost focus on the real goal of getting back into the game.
Ashley Barnes - 7
Barnes was the second half of the double substitution and much like Hannibal he played his role perfectly as he disrupted the Leeds backline and also broke up play with a foul when it was necessary.
