Another two-goal haul from the irrepressible Erling Haaland secured a deserved league triumph for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Everton had proved tough and testing opponents in a hard-fought first-half.
But City upped the attacking ante after the break and finally forced a breakthrough on 58 minutes through that man Haaland.
For the 11th game in a row, the Norwegian striker found the target, heading home Nico O’Reilly’s superb cross.
Withing five minutes, Haaland struck again with a first-time finish from Savinho’s assist to make it 23 goals in total this season for club and country and 14 for City.
It was enough to both seal victory and move the Blues up into second place in the table.
