Packers dealt with major travel problems ahead of Week 7

The Green Bay Packers ran into an unexpected opponent for their Week 7 game in the form of significant travel troubles.

The Packers were held up on the tarmac in Green Bay due to mechanical problems with their airplane, [according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network](https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1979688135069188488). As of Saturday evening, the team had been stuck waiting for takeoff for five hours and counting.

The team is set to face the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, Az. at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, meaning they still had not taken off less than 24 hours prior to kickoff. It is not a short flight from Green Bay to Phoenix, so there is a very real chance the team will not arrive at their destination until after midnight ET. That would make for a pretty brief stay at the team hotel before getting to the stadium for Sunday’s game.

Travel problems are not necessarily new for NFL teams, though it’s more likely that [there is some sort of weather issue involved](https://larrybrownsports.com/football/chiefs-plane-delay-flight-blizzard-denver/644793). This is purely down to mechanical trouble, and at some point, the team might just need to find a different plane if they’re going to get there in time.

The Packers enter Sunday’s game at 3-1-1, and will be facing Arizona backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett in a game they should be favored to win. If they come out flat, we will have a pretty solid idea as to why.
