Former Real Madrid Castilla player Chema Andres was once again impressive in VfB Stuttgart’s resilient 3-0 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.
Chema ran the show in the midfield alongside rumored Real Madrid target Angelo Stiller and provided a neat, resolute performance against Wolfsburg away from home.
He played the full 90 minutes — a recurring theme from this season — and recorded 67 touches of the ball. He made 44 of his 51 passes, with an 86% pass accuracy. Two of those passes were long balls, one was a key pass, and there were a lot of short passes in the middle that just made everything tick for Stuttgart.
On the defensive end, Chema had eight recoveries, one tackle, three interceptions, one block and one clearance. He also won eight duels.
All in all, it was a very good performance from the Real Madrid product, and he will hope to continue on this path as a potential return to Valdebebas may well be on the cards.
