The Green Bay Packers were hoping to depart early Saturday afternoon for their Sunday showdown against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, AZ.
However, a mechanical problem with their team plane left the Packers stuck on the runway for nearly five hours. The squad ultimately switched aircraft and finally departed for the southwestern state close to 8pm CT.
Upon arrival, they'll face a compressed timeframe to get ready for the Cardinals. Despite their 2-4 standing, Arizona has stayed competitive in a string of tight contests but has fallen short in heartbreaking style (including through a fumbled touchdown against the Tennessee Titans).

ESPN insider Adam Schefter documented the development on X. "After experiencing mechanical issues with their team plane that was scheduled to leave Green Bay for Arizona at 1:30 pm CT today, the Packers now have changed planes and are expecting to depart shortly," he posted.
"Their delay is now over five hours and counting."
Arizona will probably roll with backup signal-caller Jacoby Brissett for a second straight week, with starter Kyler Murray still dealing with a foot ailment.
Brissett came in on limited preparation last week and almost led the Cardinals to a stunning triumph over the Colts, hitting 27 of his 44 attempts for 320 yards and two scores in a 31-27 defeat. Star receiver Marvin Harrison had to leave the game in the second quarter due to a concussion, but he returned to practice on Friday and is expected to play this Sunday.

"The refs are going to call what they call," said the four-time Pro Bowler. "All we can do is just hope we get called a fair game. I don't care what the fans want sometimes. If your team holds, they should get better tackles, better guards. ----, don't blame that on us.
"After five years of not getting a call, you eventually stop worrying about it," he added. "I think I've just got to keep going. That's the hunt, yeah. That's part of the challenge. You've got to keep going. And that's bothersome. That worries them. They know that."
