In making a defence for his team's 2-0 defeat at Burnley, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke only served to highlight what has been the biggest fear for supporters since the start of the season.

The transfer window closed with concerns Leeds had not done enough up top to strengthen their attacking options and in particular in adding more of a goal threat to the team.

A loss at one of their relegation rivals and favourites for relegation, without a goal being scored, is only going to strengthen the defence for those of that belief.

Leeds certainly threw plenty at Burnley, with one report suggesting it was the most crosses into the box by a team in the Premier League this season, with 47.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.

Farke himself was quick to highlight his side's dominance with the ball and how happy he was defensively on the whole.

"We dominated each and every aspect of the game," said the Leeds boss. "Even if Manchester City and Arsenal come here they won't be as dominant as us. But the only important thing is goals.

"We missed big chances. We should have defended the opening header, I was not happy with this. We had to be more switched on. Then the wonder striker. Maybe could have stepped out earlier. But other aspects pleased about. But in effectiveness, they were the better side."

Missing Noah Okafor, there was a first start for Jack Harrison, with Daniel James making great recovery from injury to take his place on the bench. But with Willy Gnonto also absent, Brenden Aaronson ineffective and Dominic Calvert-Lewin searching for another goal, Leeds had plenty of the ball but not a lot of quality to open up Burnley.

It was a concern for many supporters in the summer and those concerns were again across social media during the game, with suggestions money needs to be spent in January.
