Bruno Fernandes has fired a four-word message to Chelsea star Pedro Neto in the aftermath of his frosty moment with former Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho. Garnacho was hooked at half-time as Chelsea eased past Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.
That game saw Ange Postecoglou brutally sacked by Forest just 17 minutes after the final whistle. However, while that was the big talking point across the Premier League, this weekend, all eyes at Old Trafford were on Garnacho.
The 21-year-old Argentine was celebrating at full-time with his Chelsea teammates, but it was far from plain sailing for him at the City Ground. Indeed, the ex-United player - who left Old Trafford this summer - lasted just 45 minutes before Enzo Maresca stepped in and substituted Garnacho as part of a triple change.
Ultimately, that inspired Chelsea to victory, but it was a tough moment for Garnacho to endure. That came after a tense moment with Neto, who fumed at his fellow forward in the first half in a flashpoint that was picked up by TV cameras at the match.
With the dust seemingly now settled, Fernandes has reached out to Neto - his Portugal teammate. In a four-word comment on social media, the United captain said: "Chuta que chutas bem."
Translated from Portuguese, he wrote: "Kick you kick good." The reply to Neto's post featured a heart eyes emoji.
Neto played a key part in a 3-0 victory for Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime, scoring a free-kick while also laying up Josh Acheampong for the opener. Reece James rubber-stamped the result in the dying embers as Chelsea earned three points, while Postecoglou was sacked shortly after the final whistle at the City Ground.
Speaking about the Neto and Garnacho flashpoint, TNT Sports pundit Peter Crouch analysed: "Chelsea were a bit sloppy. Credit to Enzo [Maresca] for making those changes.
"I know Neto was really frustrated with him. He was crossing the ball and not getting on the other side. Neto was really frustrated with him."
Garnacho has already been active on social media himself post-match. Also taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Happy for these three important points!" accompanied by blue and white heart emojis on his stories.
