Silva updates about more squad struggles after Arsenal defeat

Marco Silva spoke about the strains and stresses that his squad endured against Arsenal.

Two of his players, a central defender and a deputy central midfielder, came off the field with problems before the final whistle against the Gunners in a narrow 1-0 loss. Four big squad members: Kenny Tete, Sasa Lukic, Rodrigo Muniz, and Antonee Robinson were already missing.

Yet, Silva is not about to start moaning about the situation and hailed a returning player for his fight.

*“[**Joachim Andersen*] felt something. It's just for us matter of time to know if it's something more serious or minor injury. We will see what will come in the next few hours, few days after the exams it is a muscle injury. it is just to realize how serious it can be.

“*Tom Cairney*felt something in his back. He felt when he jumped for one ball doesn't look so serious is a different one was a knock there. He was not feeling well was not feeling good.

*“[**Raul Jimenez*] is a great example for from everybody and should be for all the players. I praise the team and the players for attitude but he is a player that didn't train most of the last three weeks.

“We tried to manage his situation because the problem that he had in his back or in the side.

“The attitude the commitment from him trying to help in all the moments of the game probably he was not so fresh in some moments that we need him fresh because he works so hard for all the balls

“He help the team off the ball as well. I think he's a great example for everybody that it is so hard to be at a level to play against these type of teams. They demand from ourselves, strong organization, so we have to praise the attitude and the commitment and the togetherness that he showed tonight.”
