Leeds United might have dominated the stats, but left Turf Moor having been beaten for the second time in three games by Scott Parker’s Burnley during Daniel Farke’s reign as manager.
Despite finishing above Burnley last season in the Championship table, Leeds only managed a single point from a possible six against Parker’s side. A 0-0 draw at Turf Moor, a 1-0 defeat at Elland Road.
Worryingly for Leeds, it is a fourth Premier League loss in eight games and a second successive loss either side of the international break. Micah Richards said Leeds dominated, but it wasn’t enough to win.
Much has been made of the need for the newly-promoted sides to be solid at home and Burnley took full advantage. The worry for Leeds is that the trip to Burnley was one of their most winnable away games.

Kyle Walker shares the secret to Burnley’s win over Leeds United
It was Kyle Walker who provided the game-changing moment. After Karl Darlow had passed the ball out of play, Burnley recycled the ball to the former Man City star, and his stunning cross got the first goal.
Lesley Ugochukwu was found unmarked in the box, and he headed into the top corner. Leeds could do little with Loum Tchaouna’s goal, but should have scored two or three by the time Tchaouna scored.
Walker told PLP, as per BBC Sport, that Burnley need to make their home fixtures “our game”, and did so against Leeds: “It’s a massive win. We all knew that, especially when these teams come to Turf Moor.
“That we need to turn it into our game. They are coming to our home and we need to take three points. Full congratulations to the lads. They put on an excellent shift today, and congratulations to Loum.”

Aidy White’s biggest concern about Leeds defeat to Burnley
While Leeds did dominate the chances, and chance creation is something Leeds are good at, there is a lack of end product. That final pass, that finish in front of goal. Aidy White is worried, on BBC Radio Leeds.
“My biggest concern is that although it looked like we changed shape, the game plan was the same. Get wide, get it into the box. There was no end product or quality. It was just stick to the same idea,” he said.
Willy Gnonto will return next week, Noah Okafor could be fit to play against West Ham next Friday and Dan James is back but building his fitness. Leeds are lacking quality in the final third at the moment.
