David Moyes shared his reflections on a 2-0 defeat for **Everton**at Man City.
The Toffees have taken a step forward with the Scotsman at the helm, and a quickfire double from **Erling Haaland**should not take away from the positivity around their development this season.
They are building on the momentum from the first half of the year, and have a brilliant creative spark in their ranks who shone that little bit more as a maverick loanee from the Citizens sat out of action.
“We done a good job for best party an hour. The first goal was a was disappointing, but it was the second goal more disappointing because it never gave us a chance to keep ourselves in the game.
“It made it really difficult to get back in it. But we done a lot of good things, made some good opportunities and there's no disappointment for me regarding the play.
“Phil Foden* who makes a pass through and sends Nico O’Reilly away, but the pass between Jacob O’Brien and Iliman Ndiaye. They were getting the position set and they get caught. The ball beats Jake's foot by a yard and I have to say though it was a brilliant ball by O'Reilly for Erling Haaland.*
*“Then the centre halves worked really hard to get back into position, but Haaland puts the brakes on and Michael Keane keeps going a little bit and he half pulls it back with a dink ball. So, I've got to say I think it was a really good goal by Man City. I think that we could have maybe done better.*
“Ili was the best player on the pitch first half. He might have got taken over by Foden as the game went on, but Ili was the one who made a big difference for us. We had two great chances.
*“I don't know how many chances you get when you come to Man City, but certainly the level of team which we are means that we don't get bundles of them. So, we have to take those opportunities.”*
