David Moyes spoke about the challenge of trying to put the shackles on Erling Haaland.
The **Man City**number nine had scored in all of his last seven fixtures for his team in the Premier League and Champions League, adding to his haul with a brace against **Everton**in a 2-0 win.
Both goals came in a short spell in the second half, highlighting how opponents cannot afford to switch off for a single moment against the best striker in English football and one of the top players in the European game. However, Moyes was mostly happy with how his players stood up to the test.
“From his point of view, I thought the second one was a bit scruffy. It through the legs of James Tarkowski to get through and we hadn't really given him too many opportunities.
“But then later in the game, I have to say I give great credit for the goalkeeper for the way he defended Haaland 1 v 1 and the boys get back.
“We opened up then trying to find a way of getting a goal and Man City had a couple of chances. Goal difference doesn't matter at the moment but it might matter later in the season.
“His ability to score… he's got something which others haven't. I have to say though, the Man City team played well and they created they create the opportunities for him.
“As I said, a pass and a and a lovely stood up ball gives him a chance to score his head. So, you have to praise his teammates for the for the opportunities they make for him.
“But he certainly looks through 1 v one nearly unstoppable and unfortunately they got through a couple of times right at the end, but thankfully Jordan Pickford done a good job of it.”
