Rams vs. Jaguars: The matchup
Both the Rams and Jaguars enter Week 7 with the same 4-2 record looking to keep up in tight races in their respective division. The Jags sit a game behind the upstart Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South and look to bounce back from having a three-game win streak snapped in Week 6 by the Seattle Seahawks (20-12). The Rams are in a group of three teams sitting at 4-2 in the NFC West Division, and they look to build on a quality performance in last week’s 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens. They were far from sharp early in that game, but finished the job with a strong third quarter where they scored on a 76-yard touchdown drive to open the second half and added a score less than two minutes later after a Quentin Lake interception. Los Angeles was on the short end on plays (75-51), total yards (296-241) and time of possession (37:55 to 22:05), but forced three turnovers facing Ravens backup quarterback Cooper Rush and escaped with a ugly-but-necessary victory.
