Sean Dyche has spoken about a potential return to management.
The former Everton and Burnley boss is said to be in 'advanced talks' to take up the Nottingham Forest hot seat after Ange Postecoglou was sacked, having been without a job since leaving the Toffees in January.
Dyche revealed his stance on a return to the dugout on quiz show series ‘Call Yourself A Fan’, sponsored by Coral and hosted by Alex Brooker, earlier this month.
“Once you’re in it, you immerse yourself in it, but when you get a break from it, it’s time to just step back and enjoy life a little bit,” he said.
When asked if he’s looking to get back into management soon, he added: “The strange thing in football management is that the job comes and gets you, you don’t ring up clubs and say ‘Oh, any danger?’.
“So, if the timing is right and they want you to come do it, then we interview and see if we get it.
“At the minute, I'm quite enjoying watching what's going on rather than being immersed in it.”
Postecoglou was axed after Saturday's 3-0 Premier League defeat to Chelsea at the City Ground.
The Reds said in a statement: "Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.
