Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers continues to be linked to Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.
In August, The Chelsea Chronicle was told that Chelsea are desperate to sign Rogers at some point.
They are likely to face competition from other sides, though, with Premier League rivals Liverpool also thought to be interested in the attacking midfielder.
Enzo Maresca did not have too many options for the No.10 position on Saturday. Chelsea were without Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez but were still able to beat Nottingham Forest 3-0.

Chelsea ‘frontrunners’ to sign Morgan Rogers
According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are in contention to sign Rogers next year and are keeping an eye on his situation at Villa Park.
However, it looks like the Reds are at risk of missing out on the 23-year-old to Chelsea.
The same outlet claims that sources close to Rogers believe that the Club World Cup winners are currently the “frontrunners” for the player’s signature.
The potential arrival of Rogers at Stamford Bridge or another attacking midfielder would likely end any chance of Chelsea signing Facundo Buonanotte permanently.
The Blues brought Buonanotte in on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion during the summer to give themselves another option in the No.10 position.
Buonanotte has a good record against Forest, but the Argentine was left on the bench for Chelsea’s 3-0 win at the City Ground.

Morgan Rogers’ slow start to season
Rogers was excellent for Villa last season and could still end up having a very good campaign for them this term.
However, the Englishman is not at his best right now, failing to score a goal in his first seven Premier League matches.
Rogers has at least managed to register two assists, but Villa supporters would have expected a bit more than that from one of their star players.
It is a long season, though, and the England international has enough quality to make a real impact at any moment.
