Stefon Diggs Injury Update: Star WR’s Status Revealed For Patriots-Titans

New England Patriots wide recevier Stefon Diggs is officially questionable with a chest injury as the team faces off against the Tennessee Titans. However, despite the official designation, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the wide receiver is expected to play as Drake Maye and the Patriots hope to increase their lead in the AFC East.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs gets about 10 yards on the play while Buffalo Bills cornerback Taron Johnson tries to take him down with teammate Buffalo Bills safety Taylor Rapp coming in to assist during second half action at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Oct. 5, 2025.

Stefon Diggs Injury Update: Patriots WR Expected to Play Against Titans

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The New England Patriots gambled on Stefon Diggs as a free agent following his season-ending injury in 2024, and that bet has paid off through the first six games of the season. Starting in all six contests, the four-time Pro Bowler has caught 32 of his 37 targets for 387 yards. While he has yet to find the endzone, he played a crucial role in the team’s upset victory over the Buffalo Bills. Facing off against his old team, the veteran recorded 10 receptions for 146 yards in front of a national audience.

With his help, the Patriots have got off to an impressive 4-2 start. Quarterback Drake Maye is playing at an MVP level, head coach Mike Vrabel has helped stabilize the organization, and free agent additions like Diggs are playing up to their contracts. With the Buffalo Bills on a bye week, the Patriots have a chance to earn a half-game lead over the division rivals in the AFC East if they take down the Tennessee Titans.

Currently sitting at 1-5, the Titans recently fired head coach Brian Callahan and reportedly plan on simplifying the offense for rookie quarterback Cam Ward. However, with Calvin Ridley injured, Ward will likely struggle to move the ball behind a poor offensive line, and with Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, and rookie Elic Ayomanor as the top pass-catchers.
