Dianna Russini Names 4 Potential Candidates For Titans’ Coaching Job

The Brian Callahan experience was frustrating to watch for the Tennessee Titans.

The former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator failed to get much going with Will Levis.

And while plenty of that was on his quarterback, things didn’t look much better with Cam Ward.

That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see them part ways with him just six weeks into the season.

Now, according to a report by Dianna Russini of The Athletic, they’re eyeing multiple people as his potential replacement.

As things stand now, they’re targeting Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, and Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

I expect the Titans’ early list of head coaching candidates to include:

– Matt Nagy

– Lou Anarumo

– Anthony Weaver

– Arthur Smith

The Titans aren’t just one player away from returning to playoff contention.

It will be a process.

However, we’ve seen how much being in the right system and having the right coach can do for a young quarterback.

Ward has all the athletic tools to be one of the next stars of the game, but his decision-making has left plenty to be desired at times.

Perhaps more worryingly, he has shown little to no signs of improvement through the first six weeks of his NFL career.

Then again, it’s never wise, fair, or accurate to give up on a player just a handful of starts into his career.

If anything, now is the time to double down on him and make sure to surround him with the people he needs to succeed in this league.
