3 NFL Players Are Drawing Interest Ahead Of Trade Deadline

We’re almost at the midpoint of the 2025 NFL season.

As such, the trade deadline continues to loom large.

Considering that, multiple big-name players are likely to finish the season on other teams, just like we’ve seen so many times in the past.

At least that’s what we can get from Dianna Russini’s latest inside scoop.

Per The Athletic’s insider, Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers, Miami Dolphins LB Jaelan Phillips, and New York Jets RB Breece Hall are drawing plenty of trade interest around the league.

Several names that I’m hearing are drawing interest and calls ahead of the trade deadline:

The Raiders entered the season with playoff aspirations, but Chip Kelly’s offense hasn’t been able to get anything going with Geno Smith at the helm.

Meyers wants to get a contract extension, and he even requested a trade before the start of the season, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see him on the move.

The Dolphins have been one of the worst teams in the league this season, and there are big rumblings about head coach Mike McDaniel and GM Chris Grier both being on the hot seat.

Multiple teams have a big need for a pass-rusher, and a player of Phillips’ caliber could fetch a nice return.

Last but not least, the New York Jets are the only winless team in the league after six weeks.

Breece Hall is eligible for a contract extension, but with the Jets not likely to give him one, they should make the most of the multiple teams trying to bolster their running game right now.
