Tottenham’s seven-game unbeaten run came to a disappointing end as Aston Villa came from behind to win 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Rodrigo Bentancur opened the scoring with just five minutes played. It was an opportunistic goal, firing a loose ball home from close range as Spurs made good on their early pressure.

A pair of gorgeous goals from Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendia on either side of half-time completed Villa’s turnaround, though, leaving Thomas Frank to pick up the pieces.

It compounded a difficult day for Spurs after Cristian Romero was injured in the warm-up.
