The New England Patriots had a clear priority for this offseason.
They knew they needed to find help for Drake Maye, and while they made a big investment in Stefon Diggs, that wasn’t enough.
They also have several young players, and while they haven’t been very involved in the passing game through the first six weeks of the season, they’re trending in the right direction.
With that in mind, Diggs shared his honest thoughts on his young teammates and where they are in their development right now:
“They’re hungry… Efton got a little taste last week, and we were all excited for him, even Kyle… I know nobody wanted that go-ball more than Kyle. We’ve been itching for it all year long… Those guys are grinding. They want success,” Diggs said.

The Patriots have been one of the most pleasant surprises in the league so far.
While most people expected them to take a leap after the big investments and roster overhaul they went through, they seem to be slightly ahead of schedule.
