The Premier League Match Centre have confirmed why referee Michael Oliver didn't stop play in the build-up to Manchester United's controversial goal against . Bryan Mbeumo put United ahead after just 63 seconds, although Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister was down holding his head following a collision when his low strike beat Giorgi Mamardashvili.
commentator Peter Drury explained: "What we are getting from the Match Centre is that the referee didn't see the injury and was therefore obviously not able to stop the game."
