Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League table after a 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Josh Acheampong, Pedro Neto and Reece James were all on the scoresheet at The City Ground, with Forest choosing to sack Ange Postecoglou just minutes after the final whistle.
Enzo Maresca was serving a touchline ban during the match and therefore watched his side from the stands, with ex-Blues goalkeeper Willy Caballero in the dugout instead of the Italian.
Maresca will hope to see his side build on that result when they face Ajax on Wednesday night, but in the meantime it has emerged that the West London side are eyeing a move for a Ligue 1 forward.
According to Fichajes via CaughtOffside, Chelsea are interested in Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli.

The report claims that the Blues have been impressed by the Argentine’s form since he joined Strasbourg from Spanish side Alaves over the summer.
Panichelli has scored seven goals in eight Ligue 1 matches since moving to France, and Chelsea could be in a good position to sign the player as they are under the same BlueCo ownership group as the French side.
It is claimed that Panichelli could move to Stamford Bridge next summer, despite his contract with Strasbourg not expiring until the end of the 2029/30 season.
Several players have spent time on loan with Strasbourg from Chelsea, while both Mike Penders and Kendry Paez are currently on loan at the French side.
Emanuel Emegha is also set to make the switch from Strasbourg to Chelsea next year, and the report appears to suggest that Panichelli could one day make the same switch.
Chelsea are sais to be on the hunt for new recruits to bolster their attacking options, despite signing both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro during the recent summer transfer window.
