Chelsea made the most out of having Marc Guiu back in their squad during the Premier League victory against Nottingham Forest.
The Spaniard was one of three half-time subs to be introduced by Enzo Maresca with the game poised at 0-0, before the Blues ran away with a 3-0 victory.
Alan Shearer believes Guiu changed the game with his impact, allowing Joao Pedro to influence proceedings more in the number 10 role.
It remains to be seen if Maresca looks to add Guiu to his plans on a more regular basis, with the Blues’ next game in the Premier League being against recently-promoted Sunderland.

Marc Guiu can play for Chelsea against Sunderland
The striker briefly featured for the Black Cats earlier this season, scoring in his only start for them in the EFL Cup and featuring in the top flight.
Despite not being able to make the impact he would’ve liked to at the Stadium of Light, this won’t have any effect on his ability to feature in the upcoming match at Stamford Bridge.
The rules state that players cannot play against their parent club when on loan, meaning in theory Guiu would not have been eligible to play if he was still at Sunderland.
However, there are no laws in place to stop him playing for Chelsea, meaning he will be available for selection for Maresca.

Guiu can play important role replacing Liam Delap
Liam Delap’s hamstring injury saw Chelsea have to rethink their plans in the striker position, with Nicolas Jackson already making it clear he was not looking to return to West London.
Despite Guiu being recalled, there was some speculation that he had not featured at all due to a desire to send him on loan in January, with him ineligible to play for three sides in the same season.
Now though, with the Blues struggling to get anything out of Pedro recently, there should be more of an appetite to play Guiu until Delap’s return, allowing the Blues to see more of the star who fired them to Club World Cup glory.
