Superstar rookie Travis Hunter scored his first career NFL touchdown despite the Jacksonville Jaguars being on the receiving end of a one-sided 35-7 beatdown at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams inside Wembley Stadium.

The Rams only arrived in London on Saturday morning, a day before taking on the Jags, who are familiar with the iconic British stadium, playing several games over the years since the NFL decided to take the league international. Matthew Stafford's offense was also dealt a cruel blow, with the veteran quarterback losing his No. 1 target, Puka Nacua, to an ankle injury following the 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens last week.

Nacua traveled with the Rams to Europe, but was seen on the touchline in a cozy tracksuit as his teammates went to war on the gridiron. It didn't take long for Stafford and Co. to make their mark, with Konata Mumpfield scoring the first touchdown of the first quarter.

Stafford followed it up with a touchdown pass to Davante Adams as the Rams moved 14 clear of the Jags inside the first 15 minutes. Adams added a second touchdown of the afternoon in the second quarter, proving a reliable target for Stafford in Nacua's absence, and then a third in the fourth quarter. Terrance Ferguson was also found by Stafford in the end zone for his first NFL touchdown.

As for Lawrence, the Jags didn't start moving the ball efficiently until the second half. The 2025 No. 2 pick, Hunter, was largely anonymous for most of the first half an hour, managing just one carry for a loss of a yard and no receptions.

However, Lawrence's offense addressed Hunter's usage after coming out for the second half. Hunter wracked up 85 yards from six receptions and notched his first NFL touchdown following an expert post route.

Travis Hunter TD

The Jags haven't figured out how to get the best out of Hunter yet after they bet big on the rookie in the NFL Draft. The first half was far from pretty but Hunter showed up big in the second, recording 85 receiving yards and hauling in his first NFL touchdown.

Hunter has looked a raw talent thus far this season, with offsides in the defeat to the Seattle Seahawks proving to be costly mistakes by the former Colorado man. But he showed his mental toughness to get the Jags on the scoreboard in London.

No Puka, no problem

The Rams' offense was firing on all cylinders in London, scoring 21 unanswered points heading into the halftime break. Nacua was ruled out this week with an ankle injury, with the 2023 fifth-rounder Stafford's No. 1 target in 2025 thus far. Adams joined the team in the offseason following an unsuccessful stint at the New York Jets with Aaron Rodgers — but stepped up to the plate on Sunday with three touchdowns.

Jags' running game clamped

Travis Etienne Jr. has been the Jags' top backfield player. However, they were heavily stifled by a strong Rams defense. QB Lawrence was forced to throw, and a lack of accuracy, particularly in the first half, heavily contributed. Etienne Jr. managed just 44 rushing yards — a bad day at the office on the ground.

Jags O-Line poor

The Rams were able to pressure Lawrence far too easily. There wasn't a more evident moment than late on in the third quarter where Lawrence was dumped to the field for a sack followed by a failed third down resulting in a punt.

Rams Super Bowl contenders

The Rams are early Super Bowl contenders in the NFC. They have a 5-2 record, and their offense is moving nicely, starting with Stafford. Once Nacua is back, Stafford will have two reliable targets running ahead of him, as well as Kyren Williams and Blake Corum in the backfield. The Philadelphia Eagles, looking far from fluid, will be a massive boost in the Rams' bid to reach Super Bowl 50.
