Torres returned early from Spain duty and was diagnosed with an overload but was unable to recover in time for Saturday’s game at Montjuic.
Barcelona have confirmed that he trained separately on Sunday, meaning it’s not clear yet if he will be available for their next game on Tuesday against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
The hope is that Ferran might be passed fit in time for the game but Hansi Flick must still weigh up how many minutes he can play, particularly with El Clasico to follow Tuesday’s match.
However, Robert Lewandowski, Gavi, Joan Garcia and Dani Olmo all remain sidelined and will miss the two big games this week for Barcelona.
