Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez was a 'nervous wreck' against Manchester United, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has claimed.
Kerkez signed for the Reds during the summer transfer window, joining the Merseyside club from fellow Premier League side Bournemouth. The Hungarian international has started every game for Liverpool in England's top flight since his arrival, with Andy Robertson watching on from the bench. Kerkez hasn't set the world alight just yet, but Arne Slot has shown a lot of faith in the left-back by sticking with him so far this season.
BBC pundit and former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock recently questioned the relationship between Kerkez and Virgil van Dijk on the left-hand side, with United getting plenty of joy in this area during the first half.

Speaking at half-time on Sky Sports during the Liverpool game against Manchester United, former midfielder Redknapp labelled Kerkez a 'nervous wreck' for his display, with Amad Diallo causing him 'all sorts of problems' throughout.
United's opening goal after just one minute came down Kerkez's side, but Van Dijk has to take a large portion of the blame. Questions are being asked of Kerkez currently and there's certainly an argument to suggest that he should have been rotated a little more throughout the 2025/2026 season.
Slot has regularly rotated his squad in all competitions, with the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and Jeremie Frimpong far from guaranteed a place in the starting XI. Kerkez appears to be invincible so far, with Slot showing plenty of faith in the Hungarian international.
Robertson must be questioning what he has to do to get a run in the side considering Kerkez's performances this season, and it would be fair for him to be unhappy with his lack of minutes in the Premier League.
