UPDATE:
Kareem Hunt has returned to the game following his ankle being taped up.
Kansas City Chiefs star running back Kareem Hunt had to be helped off the field in what appeared to be a serious injury. Following a scoring touchdown for the Chiefs, Hunt was rolled over, resulting in what appeared to be a leg injury.
Following the incident, Hunt was being helped off the field by multiple teammates. He was seen on the sideline with a noticeable limp and is likely to be checked out following the incident.
The Chiefs scored on the play with a run design for wide receiver Rashee Rice. Rice returned to action after serving a six-game suspension. Though the team scored, the injury to Hunt will look large if he cannot make it back in the game.
Hunt was seen on the sideline getting his ankle taped up, meaning there might be a chance he did not suffer a game-ending injury. However, there has been no update on that just yet.
The Chiefs are starting to come together, and the team has won three of their last four games. They are facing the Raiders in a tough divisional matchup, and losing Hunt will severely impact the offense.
Hunt currently has 187 rushing yards and three touchdowns through six games thus far. He had one carry for nine yards against the Raiders before the injury occurred.
The hope for the Chiefs is that Hunt suffered only a minor injury and the tape job on his ankle means he can return to the game.
