Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense had the ball at 4th-and-1 on their own 40-yard line against the Las Vegas Raiders when hilarity occurred. Mahomes was yelling at the line of scrimmage, trying to draw the Raiders offsides.
Where it gets funny is that after he tried to do that, Mahomes was [caught on the mic](https://x.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1979966322160157141) yelling, "This f\*\*\*ing never f\*\*\*ing works" before the ball was snapped and Kareem Hunt took it three yards to convert for the first down. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo were cracking up at Mahomes cursing and then couldn't believe when the Chiefs snapped the ball and converted.
The Raiders might not have fallen for the offsides trick by Mahomes but clearly him yelling about how doing that never works did throw them off their game. The ball was snapped and Hunt got the one yard (plus two more) to convert and keep the drive going. This would have been funny regardless of who it happened against but it happening against the Raiders made it even funnier.
Chiefs fans loved watching Patrick Mahomes make Raiders look foolish

That drive ended with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Hollywood Brown, putting K.C. up 14-0 with a little over nine minutes to go in the first half. That drive spanned 17 plays for 84 yards and chewed up two minutes and 45 seconds of clock time.
This was a bit of a ballsy moment from Kansas City because had the Chiefs not converted there, the Raiders offense would have had the ball in Chiefs territory and only down by a touchdown. But, the important thing is that they did convert and went on to score the touchdown to put them up two scores.
Let's hope the rest of the game continues to go the Chiefs' way.
