Man Utd won at Anfield for the first time since 2016 with a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC.
Bruno Fernandes insists Manchester United players believe in Ruben Amorim's tactical approach, irrespective of their results. United secured a huge victory over Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday evening to ease the pressure on Amorim after a difficult start to the season.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring early on, before Cody Gakpo levelled the scores in the second half. The match was perfectly poised before Harry Maguire headed in a famous winner to give his side their first victory at Anfield since 2016.
United's victory also ensured they recorded back-to-back Premier League wins under Amorim for the first time and further endorsed the work the Portuguese head coach is doing in the role. Jim Ratcliffe backed the 40-year-old over the recent international break when he claimed he should be given three years in the job, and if they play like they did against Liverpool more often, then that seems a certainty.

Speaking after the win, club captain Fernandes revelled in the three points and insisted his side had never lost faith in their tactical approach.
"We wanted to slow down their game and it would give us massive spaces down the middle. And we had to enjoy that. On the ball, we played very well in the first half. The second half we could have played a bit better," he told Sky Sports.
"Our shape always gives issues to teams. It's ungrateful to talk about the shape when we lose the games; it's ungrateful to talk about the shape when we win the games. We always believe in the system, either when we win or lose the game. It's about doing the right things in the right moments. We had to suffer during in the game, but we had to believe in what we prepared for the game would give us the win here.
"It's not going to mean anything if we don't win the game. We need to do it every week. We know the demand of this club is very high. Everyone was weird about back-to-back wins, but we have to focus on the next game. It was good to win to be closer in the table to where we want to be.
