Two-way rookie sensation Travis Hunter was in no mood to celebrate his first NFL touchdown after a ruthless Los Angeles Rams suffocated the Jacksonville Jaguars in a one-sided affair inside Wembley Stadium.

Hunter, 22, barring a woeful first half that saw the Rams take a 21-to-nothing lead into halftime, was the only bright spark for the Jags, who were condemned to a second consecutive NFL defeat, with quarterback Matthew Stafford running riot in London with five touchdown passes in the 35-7 victory.

The former Colorado star and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner recorded 101 receiving yards from eight receptions — and got his first NFL touchdown with an emphatic fourth-quarter catch to prevent the Jags from leaving London without a score. However, on an enormous career milestone for the 2025 No. 2 pick, Hunter issued an emotionless reaction, jogging back to the sidelines.

His post-game comments were even more blunt and ruthless. "I ain't worried about the stats. We got to do better on the football field. We got to come out, and we just got to win," Hunter declared.

"That's what I'm most focused on, just doing my job and having the other guys do their job when we come out on top."

Hunter's confidence was clear as he told head coach Liam Coen to "give me the ball" before Lawrence found him in the end zone.

He added: "I just told Coach to give me the ball. I'll go up there and make a play. And he got me the ball, and I just did what I had to do."

The Jags have let a 4-1 start to the 2025 NFL season slip. Consecutive defeats to the Seattle Seahawks and the Rams pose a new challenge to first-year head coach Coen, who has shouldered the blame for the Jags' poor play this last two weeks.

"It's definitely frustrating, but you just like everybody else in that in there, you know, you got to look inward first, like what am I doing as the head football coach," he said.

"That's not clear right now. How am I communicating these things? How am I, and how are we?

"Practicing these things, that's what I've got to look at, right? I mean, I've got to look at the whole thing ultimately, but I'm not going to stand up here and blame these players. It starts with me."

The Jaguars will now enjoy a bye week. They are not due to play again until Nov. 2 against the struggling Las Vegas Raiders. It will present a good opportunity for Coen's men to boost their chances of making the playoffs this season.
