Liverpool hosted United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon and the defending Premier League champions suffered their third consecutive league defeat of the season.
Arne Slot’s men have seen their form take a turn for the worse in recent weeks, with Liverpool now being winless in four matches across all competitions.
United capitalised on Liverpool’s poor run of form and the Red Devils produced a strong showing in their first match in the post-October international break.

United are only two points adrift from fierce rivals Liverpool in the league table, with the defending Premier League champions falling to fourth place.
Roy Keane admitted that the Red Devils picked up a “huge win” at Anfield and called it a “big moment” for the first-team Red Devils players under Ruben Amorim.

However, the 54-year-old legendary former United captain still remains sceptical over whether or not the Red Devils have finally found their footing this season.
“I wouldn’t go as far as to say Man Utd are back, but it’s a huge win for them,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
“We’ve all been critical of this group of players over the last year, but on today’s performance, they showed grit.
“They stuck at it and you felt they had goals in them. It’s a big moment for these players and they should enjoy it. But now they have to kick on.”

Gary Neville echoes a key theme that Roy Keane said about Man Utd after the Premier League result over Liverpool
Bryan Mbeumo put United 1-0 up in the opening five minutes against Liverpool and the Reds were left chasing the Premier League contest at Anfield on the weekend.
Cody Gakpo cancelled out Bryan Mbeumo’s first-half opener in the second half, but Harry Maguire restored United’s lead and sealed all three points for his side.
Gary Neville, much like fellow United legend Keane, agreed that an important point for the Red Devils now is to look forward to their next match against Brighton.
“Man Utd needed something,” he told Sky Sports.
“And they have pulled something out of the bag. Harry Maguire and his teammates will be proud tonight.
“They will have to make sure this is the start of something. Onto Brighton next week.”
United will host Premier League side Brighton at Old Trafford on 25th October, with kick-off scheduled for 5:30pm UK time.
