Always Wolves
Always Wolves
MIKE LUCAS SHARES What we learned from Sunderland 2–0 Wolves
Wolves players and manager against Sunderland lacked bottle, energy and was as poor performance as we have seen.
What was learnt from this Wolves team first and foremost not just against Sunderland but also this season is that they lack goals in the team, and that’s not down to the manager that is down to the people above. If Wolves don’t start performing quickly they will find themselves in massive massive trouble.
Good performances against Everton, Spurs and Brighton seemed to give a glimmer of light but against this Sunderland team that have just got promoted was anything but pathetic.
We seemed to learn that Wolves lack options all over the pitch and there are players that either aren’t giving there all or are just not worthy of the shirt.
After good performances Sam Johnstone will be really ashamed of the manner of the goals he conceded and that’s just not on him.
The defence needs to look at themselves and yes I have been wanting a back 4 for a while but what we learnt is for some reason no matter the players we just can’t play a back 4 and has to be a back 5 until we steady this sinking ship.
Other things we learnt is that if Jorgen Strand Larsen is not up to standard because he’s carrying an injury or whether his head was just turned in the summer I don’t know but until he starts performing like he was last season he needs to be benched
Vitor Pereira. Well all season his substitutes have been quite questionable and yesterday was no different as we losing and bringing in a good championship player was something no Wolves fan could get their head around. Vitor needs to start getting his players performing and he needs to start changing his way of thinking as sometimes it looks like ‘let’s not concede’ again rather than let’s go for it and get something from the game and that’s been many times this season.
One thing is for sure is if we don’t beat Burnley at home then we could well be looking for a new manager Monday morning.
