Postgame Handshake Between A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson Draws Attention

The Philadelphia Eagles snapped their two-game losing streak in Week 7, notching a 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense put together one of their best performances of the year so far, recording 326 passing yards and three passing touchdowns - 121 of those yards and two of those touchdowns went to superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Brown outperformed Vikings’ pass-catcher Justin Jefferson, who reeled in five catches for 79 yards from quarterback Carson Wentz.

After the game came to a close, Brown and Jefferson met at centerfield for a postgame handshake.

“All love between A.J. and Jettas,” the NFL wrote on X.

NFL fans took to social media to react to the postgame moment between two of the league’s top five wide receivers.

“JJ telling AJ they need to leave their respective teams and get on the same team together,” one wrote.

“3rd and 2nd best receivers in the league,” another said.

“Two of the very best,” another added.

“Just two top 5 WRs showing eachother respect,” one user replied.

“There’s a world where they woulda been teammates, but it’s all good!” remarked another.

Sunday’s win over the Vikings was Brown’s best game of the season after a slow start. Prior to Week 7, the three-time Pro Bowler had just one game with 100 receiving yards or more.

Neither Brown nor Jefferson were the leading receivers for their respective teams in Week 7, though. Eagles WR Devonta Smith finished the game with nine catches for 183 yards and one touchdown. Vikings pass-catcher Jordan Addison recorded nine catches for 128 yards.

The Eagles move to 5-2 with Sunday’s win, responding to back-to-back losses against the Denver Broncos and New York Giants. The Vikings drop to 3-3.

Philadelphia will look to build off this positive momentum in Week 8’s matchup against the Giants before entering their Week 9 bye. Minnesota will try to get back in the win column in a “Thursday Night Football” matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
