Will Reichard in new territory on ultra-long field goals

Will Reichard made a 59-yard field goal during the Minnesota Vikings’ 28-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The field goal was the third for Reichard of at least 59 yards during the 2025 season, making him the first player with that many in a single NFL campaign.

Entering the game, Reichard was among five kickers who had made at least two field goals of 59 or more yards in the same season.

The former Hoover High School and Alabama standout had to kick a 59-yard field goal with 2:04 left in the second quarter because Vikings center Blake Brandel snapped the football over quarterback Carson Wentz’s head on third-and-10 at the Philadelphia 19-yard line for a 22-yard loss.

Reichard also made a 59-yard field goal in a 27-24 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sept. 8.

Reichard set a franchise record for the longest field goal when he connected on a 62-yarder in a 48-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 21.
