JJ Redick gives injury updates on Jaxson Hayes, Adou Thiero, Bronny James ahead of Lakers…

The Lakers haven’t started regular season action, and already the injury report is getting surprisingly long.

In the team’s preseason dress rehearsal, LeBron James, Bronny James and Adou Thiero were all out. During that game, Jaxson Hayes also suffered a wrist contusion and did not return to the court.

Fortunately, the updates after practice on Sunday were largely positive. Here’s what head coach JJ Redick had to say about the aforementioned players.

After the Lakers’ loss ot the Kings, Redick said the x-rays came back negative on Hayes’ wrist. On Sunday, Hayes said he was doing fine and expects to play. He hurt his wrist while trying to catch himself while falling after a lob dunk in the opening quarter.

Redick wouldn’t confirm that Hayes will play on Tuesday, considering it’s still a couple of days away, but the implication is that he will.

“We got great news on Jackson with the X-ray and the MRI. So he’s trending that way,” Redick said.

Mañon, a two-way guard who didn’t play in the preseason, was a full participant on Sunday, and Redick had no new injuries to report. When it comes to injuries, no news is often good news. While having LeBron out is far from ideal, the team will enter the first game of the season relatively healthy otherwise.
