Daniel Jones claps back at doubters of Colts before start of season

There’s probably someone out there who will tell you they believed in Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts before the start of the NFL season.

But let’s be serious, Jones was sent to Indianapolis to be a backup, and the Colts were expected to be a bottom-feeder in the league.

After seven weeks, the Colts look like the cream of the crop in the AFC. In Week 7, the Colts took down the “all-gold” Los Angeles Chargers. And Jones is to thank for such a strong start to the season for the team.

When the final whistle blew in the Colts’ 38-24 win over the Chargers in Week 7, Jones had a simple message for those who may have doubted his team prior to the start of the season.

“Sounds like y’all didn’t know much. But we’re just going to keep going, keep working, and we’ve got a lot of confidence. We’ve got a lot of good players, guys who work hard and do the right things,” Jones said when asked about those who may be shocked by the team’s start to the season.

On Sunday, Jones finished with 288 yards passing and two touchdowns in the Colts’ win. It appears “Indiana Jones” may make the Colts, America’s Team, this season.
