A few eyebrows were raised when Harry Maguire was drafted into the backline for Manchester United's clash with Liverpool. A few glasses will have been raised to the defender by full time.
As he has done on a number of occasions in recent years, Maguire rose highest to spark jubilant scenes as United bagged a memorable victory at the home of their rivals.
It perhaps wasn't so much Maguire's inclusion that had fans talking after the team news had dropped but more the omission of the player he had replaced. Leny Yoro has quietly gone about becoming arguably United's best defender yet the Frenchman had to make do with a place on the bench in a game that could well prove to be a turning point in United's season.
Amorim cited set pieces as the reason behind Maguire's inclusion and the decision to start United's former captain was vindicated. Not only did Maguire play brilliantly at Anfield, his late header ensured United left Anfield with all three points for the first time since the Louis van Gaal era.
The Sky sports cameras gave a rare insight into the United dressing room shortly after Maguire had addressed the media for his post-match interview. The 32-year-old received rapturous applause from his teammates as he entered the dressing room, with a warm embrace from Bruno Fernandes and Matthijs de Ligt.
Maguire had said himself just moments earlier to the Sky Sports cameras that this was more than just another three points on the board, and the reaction in the dressing room proved that was the case.
This could be a turning point in United's season and maybe even Amorim's tenure. And the players know it.
