Former Chelsea player John Terry has been praising a current player as well as some key decisions made by Enzo Maresca lately.
Terry is still very much involved with Chelsea Football Club, working in the academy and also being the club’s biggest fan still. We all know how much he loves this club and how he bleeds blue.

It’s always great to hear from the former captain of the club, and this weekend he has been speaking about Chelsea’s 3-0 win away win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
It was the current club captain Reece James who grabbed the last goal of the game on Saturday with a lovely little finish, and this came after another academy graduate, Josh Acheampong, scored his very first goal for the club – and what a moment that was.
Acheampong is hoping to follow in the footsteps of both Terry and James and become an important regular starter for Chelsea and go on to win big things at the club.

Terry said after the game on Acheampong:
“Delighted for Josh as well to get his first senior goal for the football club, and also great to see the manager showing faith in our younger players as well, and also repaid the faith of the manager with a goal, always great for the centre-half to get a goal.”
Academy graduates are the heart of the club
It’s so important to get some players coming through the academy into the first team, and Terry is right to praise the manager on this.
These lads coming through are the heartbeat of the club and allowing them chances to make it here is super important for all involved at the club.
