Packers’ Jordan Love issues Josh Jacobs statement after RB erupts in second half against…

The Green Bay Packers did not exactly have the smoothest of wins on Sunday, but at the end of the day, they got the job done and collected their fourth win of the 2025 season after downing the Arizona Cardinals on the road, 27-23.

It took some time for the Packers’ offense to heat up, as they only scored their first points of the game in the second quarter. But there was more consistency on that side of the field for Green Bay in the second half. Jordan Love finished the contest with 179 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions, while Josh Jacobs took care of business on the ground with another productive outing.

Despite being labeled with a game-time decision tag before the Cardinals game because of a lower-body issue, Jacobs churned out a performance that helped rescue Green Bay from what would have been an embarrassing loss.

Jacobs rushed 13 times for 55 yards against Arizona. He scored two touchdowns on the ground, both coming in the second half, including the one late in the contest that put the Packers in front for good.

“Josh is a dog,” Love said of the running back following the contest, per the Associated Press (via ESPN). “He’s one of those guys that you know you’re going to get his best every time. He loves the game. He finds a way to make plays and put the team on his back.”

On the season, Jacobs has racked up 414 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He now has scored multiple touchdowns in each of his last three games, a streak he’ll look to keep alive in Week 8 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.

Jacobs (8) runs in for a touchdown against the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 19, 2025.
