And that’s the treble completed by Rangers before Halloween, just not the type that Celtic have been used to over the past few years.
It emerged last night that, despite being in advanced discussions and fans watching the Chinese Super League, Kevin Muscat turned down the opportunity to manage Rangers.
Ange Postecoglou’s former assistant and successor in Japan won’t be managing the Govan side.
As Celtic fans struggled to control their laughter, not for the first time in their managerial hunt, Chris Sutton poked some fun at the situation on Twitter:
Why are talented coaches turning down Rangers? https://t.co/pchvNfBdQ7

That’s three managers been in discussions with the Ibrox side, Gerrard, Rohl and Muscat, and they’ve all ruled themselves out.
However, reports on Sunday night did suggest that Rohl might come back to the table.
Ranbers must be extremely impressed by his managerial career to date, managing *checks notes* just on club.
He spent two years at Sheffield Wednesday, who had off-the-pitch financial struggles. He does seem like a great fit.
But, Celtic have problems of their own. Performances need to pick up and the manager needs to have a total rethink. Hearts could end up eight points clear come next Sunday night, so Celtic really need to up their game.
