Bowen highlights Hammers crunch week ahead | West Ham News

With all of the focus on this evening’s Brentford fixture, the weirdness of this Premier League calendar has almost gone unnoticed: [West Ham](https://www.claretandhugh.info/leeds-united-take-full-advantage-of-west-hams-transfer-false-start/) have two games in five days, having not played for two weeks and not played at home for exactly a month.

With such a dismal home record, some would suggest that has been a distinct advantage with Espírito Santo at least picking up a solitary point in his first game.

However for th club to thrive, home form needs to change after Graham Potter’s two hime wins in tie months. Speaking to whufc.com, Skipper [Jarrod Bowen](https://www.whufc.com/news/bowen-we-want-create-winning-culture) has highlighted the importance of this coming five days in the Hammers’ season:

_“If you look at the league table, we’re only a couple of results away and we play Monday and Friday this week, so it’s a really good time to put in some good performances and get some good results. Of course, we take things game by game, but we also know two or three good results and it looks a whole lot different.”_

Two or three good results – of course- changes everything

Referencing the supporter vs board protests, Bowen stresses the early vibe under _his fourth_ West Ham manager is looking good:

_“A couple of results changes the mood, changes the dynamic, changes the energy and the feel, so we’re really excited to work with him”._

And stressing that this season is not yet an out and out relegation scrap – yet – the Hammers skipper leaves fans with an upbeat note ahead of tonight’s London derby:

_“It’s still a season where we want to achieve really good things and I feel like everyone has bought into it. I think that creates a winning culture.”_
