Loan watch: Kiwior shines again among winners

A vast array of Gunners from our men's, women's and academy sides are currently gaining more experience out on loan as the season continues.

**Jakub Kiwior** has now kept eight successive clean sheets in matches he has featured in for club and country, having doubled up with two victories for Poland against New Zealand and Lithuania and then returned with a 4-0 success for Porto at Celoricense in the Taca de Portugal. The cup tie on Saturday proved a mismatch in the Portuguese giants’ favour, with Jakub playing the first half. In the past few days via [OneFootball](https://onefootball.com/en/news/kiwior-on-arsenal-exit-for-porto-its-not-a-step-back-41779373), Jakub insisted to Polish channel TVP Sport that he was on the march for regular game time with a club such as Porto, backed up by his excellent form.

Werder Bremen, with **Karl Hein** on the bench, played out a 2-2 draw with Heidenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Despite missing out at the weekend, Karl did play two full matches with Estonia over the international break, beaten 3-1 by Italy and then a 1-1 draw with Moldova. Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, **Fabio Vieira** continues to serve his suspension following last month’s red card for Hamburg against Union Berlin. The German side faced Leipzig on Saturday, suffering a 2-1 defeat.

**Oleksandr Zinchenko** completed his injury comeback to start for Nottingham Forest against Chelsea as the Premier League returned on Saturday lunchtime at the City Ground. The Blues were 3-0 winners in the clash, with Oleksandr playing 74 minutes.

**Ismeal Kabia** was on the winning side in League Two this weekend, coming out on top with Shrewsbury Town as they secured a late 1-0 victory over Crawley Town on Saturday afternoon, with Ismeal playing 79 minutes; Morecambe featuring **Maldini Kacurri** were less fortunate a division below in the National League, losing 3-0 to Southend United - though Maldini played the full game.

It was a better day in Denmark for young Hale End goalkeeper **Lucas Nygaard**, whose Brabrand side were 4-0 winners over VSK Aarhus.

Brentford face West Ham United on Monday as this weekend’s Premier League fixtures are rounded off, with **Reiss Nelson** in tow as he continues to fight back to action.

**Michelle Agyemang** and **Rosa Kafaji** both started Brighton & Hove Albion's 3-0 win at home to Southampton in Group C of the Subway Women's League Cup. Michelle played the full 90 minutes, while Rosa got 63 as the Seagulls went second in their group, level on points with first-placed West Ham United.

In the same competition, **Cecily Wellesley-Smith** was an unused substitute for Leicester City's 1-0 win away to London City Lionesses.

**Naomi Williams** was in goal for Bristol City's 3-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa as the Robins dropped to the bottom of Group E in the League Cup.

**Vivienne Lia** was an unused substitute for Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw away to Everton, which Forest lost 4-3 on penalties to stay second in Group A.

Overseas, **Laila Harbert** came on in the 79th minute of Portland Thorns' 2-0 win away to Angel City FC to rise to sixth in the NWSL.
