Sean Dyche looks set to be the man to replace Ange Postecoglou at the helm of Nottingham Forest, with the former Everton and Burnley man’s announcement imminent.
Postecoglou was sacked on Saturday afternoon, immediately after Nottingham Forest lost 3-0 to Chelsea.
Evangelos Marinakis wasted no time in giving Postecoglou the boot, and now the search for a replacement looks to have concluded. Sean Dyche will become manager of Nottingham Forest.

Dyche is a specialist in survival, which is exactly what’s needed at the City Ground given the dismal start to the season. Now, Dyche will need to get to know his players, and one in particular will need to get back in his good books.
Sean Dyche once slammed Callum Hudson-Odoi for diving
In 2019, when Dyche was at Burnley, they faced Chelsea at Turf Moor, a game which, according to the English manager, was ruined by a Callum Hudson-Odoi dive.
He told reporters on the incident: “How’s that going to stop it? That ain’t going to stop it.”
Dyche added: “It’s not a reflection of the game or the scoreline – Chelsea were too good for us tonight. That’s got to go out of the game. It’s ridiculous now.
“Young players, young players diving – I just can’t stand it. It’s shambolic how people dive about the place. I keep hearing the word respect, and I get shot down for saying this, I sit there amazed – respect the game. That is what people should be doing.”
Chelsea manager at the time, Frank Lampard, defended his winger, but the jury was well and truly out from his new boss.
🗣 Lampard on Hudson-Odoi being booked for diving: "If I feel like it was a dive I would speak to Callum and say that's not what we're about.
"When you're moving into the box at pace and cutting across defenders, whether VAR decides if it's a penalty or not is one thing." 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/fAQDkibyXg

Hudson-Odoi, of course, is now a Forest player, so will be hoping bygones will be bygones for his sake.
Sean Dyche really hates players diving
The Burnley boss said after that game: “It’s not encouraging for the game of football – I’m really worried for the game of football.
“People diving all over the place today – it has to go. The maximum you can get for a dive is a yellow card.
“So for every player in the Premier League they can cheat at least once a game and get nothing other than a yellow.”
Forest players, beware! Any simulation and you’ll surely be in the bad books of your new impending manager, that’s for sure.
