Opinion: Predicting Everton's next three games before the November international break

Everton have three more games before the next international break in November.

Everton suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the weekend, although there were plenty of positives to take.

That leaves them in 12th place heading into the Tottenham Hotspur game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this weekend.

With that said, we’ve tried to predict the next three games against Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Fulham.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur – October 26th

Moyes’ side are yet to taste defeat at the new stadium, and come Sunday afternoon against Tottenham, they’ll certainly fancy their chances of three points.

Spurs have been inconsistent under Thomas Frank and lost at home to Aston Villa on the weekend, showing a flaky side to them defensively.

Jack Grealish will be back, and it may also be Jarrad Branthwaite’s first appearance of the season after recovering from injury.

Sunderland vs Everton – November 3rd

Sunderland away is a very tough game for any side in the Premier League this season, as they’ve been able to make the 48,000-seater a real fortress.

In fact, the newly-promoted side are actually second in the home table, winning three of their four games there.

# Team P W D L Pts

1 Arsenal 4 3 1 0 10

2 Sunderland 4 3 1 0 10

3 Bournemouth 4 3 1 0 10

4 Manchester City 4 3 0 1 9

5 Liverpool 4 3 0 1 9

6 Manchester Utd 4 3 0 1 9

7 Everton 4 2 2 0 8

So, Everton may have to suffer at times, especially when the crowd is up, and for that reason they may have to settle for a point.

Prediction: Sunderland 1-1 Everton

Everton vs Fulham – November 8th

Everton play host to Fulham just before the international break, so it’s a game they’ll be targeting maximum points in.

The reverse fixture last season saw Beto score a 94th-minute equaliser after former midfielder Alex Iwobi opened the scoring.

Fulham haven’t made the best start to the season, as they reside in 14th on eight points, so Moyes’ men will pick up their second win in three games.

Based on the three predictions, Everton would have picked up seven points from a possible nine, which would be a very good return.

Prediction: Everton 2-0 Fulham
