Report: Fee revealed as Real Madrid plot surprise January bid for Marc Guehi

Real Madrid are ready to make their move for Marc Guehi during the January transfer window, it is reported.

Marc Guehi remains at the centre of a lot of speculation right now, in the wake of news that Guehi will not be signing a new contract at Crystal Palace, as revealed by Oliver Glasner last week.

It comes as no surprise to Palace fans, though. Guehi’s contract is out next summer and after Liverpool tried to sign him on deadline day this summer, he’s had links to multiple teams.

One team being increasingly linked with the 25-year-old is Real Madrid. Now it’s looking like the Spanish giants could make their move as early as January.

Real Madrid plotting £30m bid for Marc Guehi

Given the fact that Guehi is out of contract next summer and already attracting interest from Europe’s elite clubs, with Bayern Munich holding a keen interest as well as the likes of Inter, Juve, and PSG, the possibility of a team signing Guehi in January is great.

Now, Spanish outlet Real Madrid Confidencial are reporting that the Galacticos could be ready to offer around £30million for Guehi’s services in January, in a bid to fend off interest from their European rivals ahead of Guehi’s contract expiry.

Madrid officials are understood to be in favour of signing a player with so much potential for so little in January, despite the fact that he’ll become a free agent at the end of the campaign.

Three players tipped to replace Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace

With Guehi now set to leave, perhaps as early as January, Glasner and his recruitment team have been stepping up their search to find a new centre-back.

Recently, We Are Palace revealed how Crystal Palace have an interest in Charlie Cresswell at Toulouse, with two other centre-backs on the continent mentioned.

Yann Bisseck is open to a move to Crystal Palace in January, but there remains confusion over his price tag at Inter. Meanwhile, Palace are linked with Mario Gila at Lazio, with Spurs thought to be leading that transfer race.
