Tonight we have an excellent MNF game between the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It should be an offensive shootout, which can be great if you are playing DFS or making prop picks. So, let’s take a look at all the top options for tonight:
Captain: Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit ($12,000)

A lot of expensive options tonight as both offenses can light up the scoreboard which means pricing is going to be tight with so many expensive options. I like Williams as a boom/bust target for the “Captain” spot to allow us to some roster flexibility. The speedster can take the top off a defense, but can also appear on a milk carton. With both defenses strong against the run game, I’ll roll the dice on a big game from Williams.

Contrarian Captain Consideration: David Montgomery, RB, Detroit ($11,100)
Flex: Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay ($10,600)

Is there a safer option in fantasy football right now at the QB position? Mayfield has been awesome this year, scoring 17+ DK points in all six games this year. It doesn’t matter which receivers have been in the lineup, the guy is getting it done. Mayfield’s legs also create a nice floor as he’s gone for 30+ rushing yards in half of the games this year and there is a good chance he’ll need them tonight.
Flex: Jared Goff, QB, Detroit ($10,000)

If we want a big game out of Williams, the ball will have to leave Goff’s hands first. While he lacks the rushing ability of Mayfield, Goff has been a completion wizard. He’s completed over 70% of his passes in all but one game so far and is riding a three game streak of 2+ passing touchdowns. We expect the passing games to be heavily featured is making all the right reads.

I was really high on Otton coming into the year but he got off to an extremely slow start to the year. He’s gotten much more involved over the last two weeks seeing 11 targets. With much of the emphasis on everyone trying to find the right receiver on Tampa Bay, I think Otton goes overlooked and is a sneaky way to get into this game.
Bargain Bin Flex Considerations
Detroit Lions place kicker Jake Bates (39) attempts an extra point against Green Bay Packers during the second half at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis., on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Jake Bates, K, Detroit ($5,400)
Chase McLaughlin, K, Tampa Bay ($5,000)
Tez Johnson, WR, Tampa Bay ($4,600)
Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit ($2,200)
Brock Wright, TE, Detroit ($1,600)
Best Bets for MNF Week 7
Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (0) celebrates a touchdown against Chicago Bears during the first half at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025.
Final Score: Tampa Bay 24, Detroit 27
Both defenses are tough against the run which will slow the game down at the start. I do like this one to come down to the final possession. The Lions get the late field goal allowing Tampa to cover and allowing the under to squeeze by.
