Whitehouse’s Mahomes throws 3 touchdowns in Kansas City’s rout of Las Vegas

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KLTV) - Former Whitehouse Wildcat Patrick Mahomes had over 280 yards passing and three touchdowns in Kansas City’s 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Mahomes completed a pass to nine different receivers.

Mahomes finished 26-of-35 for 286 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He added four carries for 28 yards as well. Mahomes and the Chiefs went 92 yards in 12 plays and scored on a 2-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Rashee Rice to put the Chiefs up 7-0. In the second quarter, Mahomes engineered a 20-play, 84-yard drive to took nearly nine minutes off the clock. The drive was capped off with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Hollywood Brown to give the Chiefs a 14-0 lead. The Chiefs found the end zone again with 10 seconds remaining in the first half. Mahomes connected with Rice again, this time for a 3-yard touchdown to put the Chiefs ahead 21-0. For the Raiders, Tyree Wilson (West Rusk) picked up two tackles.

Up next, Kansas City (4-3) will host the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football, while the Raiders (2-5) have a bye week before hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 2.
