Like Upamecano, Konate has also entered the final year of his contract at Liverpool. As per this report, Real Madrid are willing to pay €20 million signing-on bonus to Upamecano for a long-term contract.
Real Madrid can initiate talks with Upamecano for a pre-contract agreement when the transfer window opens in January. The French defender is free to talk with the clubs that want to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.
Bayern Munich remain calm about Upamecano's future
Despite consistent speculation regarding his future, Bayern are not giving up on extending the contract of Dayot Upamecano. They remain in talks with his representative with the hope of finding a solution that will satisfy all parties in the negotiations.
Bayern managed to rebuff interest from Real Madrid in one of their key players earlier this year. Alphonso Davies was heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital on a free transfer.
