Broncos Made NFL History With Wild Comeback Against Giants

The Denver Broncos made history in Week 7.

Things didn’t look good for most of the game, and it seemed like the New York Giants were about to spoil the emotional day to honor Demaryius Thomas.

Then, things completely turned around.

Denver’s Bo Nix became the first quarterback in NFL history with two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in one quarter, which led to a notable team accomplishment.

“[The] Broncos’ 33 fourth-quarter points were the most points in the fourth quarter by any team that had been shut out in the first three quarters in NFL history,” Adam Schefter wrote on X.

The Giants played a virtually perfect game for the first three quarters.

Then, even when it seemed that they had given away the game, they still managed to march down the field and regain the lead with less than a minute to go.

Unfortunately for them, there was no stopping Nix in the fourth quarter.

Once again, it seemed like Denver’s uptempo offense worked much better than its scripted plays.

Of course, as much merit as the Broncos deserve for pulling off this huge comeback, the Giants also need to take a hard look in the mirror.

NFL teams had won 1,602 consecutive games when leading by at least 18 points in the final six minutes, which speaks volumes about the epic failure.

Then again, for someone to make history, the other team has to do so in the other direction.
